SciFi and Fantasy Art Surprise! by Per Johansson


	An Earthling has found an interesting example of some kind of life on an alien planet. He concentrates on photographing it, and is in for the biggest surprise of his life... Pen and ink. Scanned. Colored in Paint. The hills in the background are a photo of a pile of gravel in my neighbourhod. I can say that I'm not very satisfied with the result, but I uploaded it anyhow...

7 Aug 2009	Anna Pz	Loading... This is so funny. The look on the alien is so great. It really must be the biggest surprise in the astronauts life... I like your unusual style of drawing. You’re great when it comes to capture emotions and looks. The almost comical style suits you well. Have you tried cell shading (just curious)? Cell shading is when a colour is marked with shadows and highlights with sharp edges. Take a look at manga because those artists often use this technic... There is a good tutorial here.
